And yet another surprise card from Ramona and her family. This one pictures the 2013 flood in Magdeburg. I was shocked when I received this card, I can’t believe that someone made this into a postcard! It’s one of my favorite cards, though, because it shows something real and not just a pretty picture.
For those of you who don’t know or don’t remember, there were some serious floods in late May and early June 2013. Flooding and damages primarily affected south and east German states, western regions of the Czech Republic, and Austria. Luckily, the foul weather spared Bulgaria, as I can’t imagine how long it would take us to recover from something like that.
